Comments

The most abundant wrasse in both coral and rubble areas (Ref. 128523). Recorded from Sharp Island and Hoi Ha Wan. More abundant during summer (Ref. 94637). Also recorded from Cape D'Aguilar, Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329); and A Ma Wan in Tung Ping Chau, at depth range 0 to 2.8 meters (Ref. 119714). Juveniles reported from Starfish Bay, Three Fathoms Cove, and Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). The species was observed on 101 to 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in live fish markets (Ref. 125552). Also Ref. 9710, 125586.
